Nevermind...
Lots of good news around our house this week. First, it's the holidays and Mary loves the Holidays. She has enough holiday spirit for the entire family.
Lucy and I are both feeling better, which is nice. Even better, Mary and I finally got our schedules confirmed for the next year. We are both cutting down to a four day work week. We will be able to keep Lucy out of day care full time which we are very grateful for!
In other news Lucy had a Holiday Pageant at school this week and went to visit Santa for the first time. Neither were a great success... there were tears all around. Here are some photos.

Christmas is Coming
Well, the last week has been filled with a lot of sickness. Lucy got her first ear infection, in both ears, and I ended up with strep throat. I guess I am in second grade again.
Because she was sick, Lucy stopped sleeping through the night. She was up every 45 minutes or so for the entire week. Mary and I got a true education about what it is like to have a baby. Lucy has been sleeping through the night since she was 6 weeks old, so the lack of sleep was something we were not used to at all.
Even through the sleepless nights we still had a big highlight... We cut off Lucy's mullet. For a little girl, she did work on her mullet. It was long, thick and stylish. It reminded Mary of Lucy's second cousin Ryan...
As per usual, we didn't take too many new pictures, so I decided to throw out some oldies but goodies, because lets be honest, no one wants to read what I have to write...

Wow! Dad is Lazy...
So, it's been almost three months since I posted anything on the blog... pretty lazy. Anyways, there is a lot to catch up on. I will hit the highlights below in the pictures.
First, a little comparison:

First, a little comparison:

At her six month appointment Lucy didn't disappoint the giant lovers among us. She weighed in at 23 pounds and was 27 inches tall. Off the charts. For a little comparison, Lucy's Dad weighed 17 pounds when he was over 2 years old... I guess we know who she takes after.
Lucy has done a lot of fun things, met many, many new people and learned some new baby tricks along the way. Here are some highlights.

Lucy visited Iowa to meet her great grandma Peggy, she was lucky enough to get her picture taken with her mom, grandma and great grandma.

While in Iowa we also got to play with our cousin Luke, Auntie Kem and Uncle Matthew. Luke made Lucy laugh all the time (another new baby trick). They were good buddies.
We also celebrated our first Halloween. Lucy has been attending an ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education, dad thinks its parenting for dummies...) course with mom and dad since she was three months old. It is fun to see the growth of her ECFE friends and compare where the babies at different ages are and think about all the fun stuff Lucy will learn.
At EFCE Lucy celebrated her first Halloween as a ladybug. She also sat up by herself for the first time.

We also had our first Thanksgiving together with the whole Lindberg family. It's weird how many of us there are now, and there are more on the way....
Here are some other awesome things Lucy has learned since the onset of the blog laziness streak:

There are more things, like talking LOTS, picking stuff up and starting daycare, but mom and dad are terrible photographers and always forget the camera.
Anyway, Lucy is crying because Mini won't stop trying to lick her face off. I better go put an end to it before Lucy pulls Mini's tail off.

STATE FAIR
Lucy went to her first Minnesota State Fair. Ahh the Great Minnesota Get Together. As far as I can tell it is just an excuse for people to cram up next to each other and get filthy dirty... But Lucy loves it. We have been going to the fair with Brian, Cari and our Niece and Nephew since Greta was a baby, so it was fun to bring our own for the first time.

Gotta' wear the right onsie
Three Months Old and My First Cabin
It's been a long time since our last post and a lot has happened. Mommy got another Staph infection that she has to deal with, no fun. But, Lucy has learned how to keep sitting up and is grabbing at things like crazy. She especially likes the flowers on grandma's shirts. Lucy will be going to First Impression day care in the middle of November, until then Daddy will be watching me three days a week.
It was my three month birthday on the 21st. I am getting huge.

It's been way too long since we posted anything on this blog... (based upon the feedback from our family, at least.) It has been a crazy time around our house. Brad was in the emergency room, twice in one day, Mary was admitted to the hospital and Mini ended up with a terrible infection that we can't get rid of... The good news is Lucy is great.
Mary and I have taken to calling Lucy "The Goose". I am not sure why...but it's what we do. Goose loves to be talked to, she and her Mom have some pretty in depth conversations. Lucy has a lot to say. She also must think her mom is pretty funny, because she sure laughs at her a bunch! We have got to start taking videos, stupid laziness. She is starting to grab at things and generally make us laugh with her smiles and funny faces.
Mary went back to work this week, and Brad had his first day watching Lucy at home by himself. Pretty successful... he didn't loose her even once. You think I kid, but it could happen...
Now, some pictures to catch up on the goings on around our house.

It's My Birthday

I am how BIG?!
It's been awhile since our last post. Health has seemed to leave the the Lindberg adults behind. The good news is that Lucy seems to have missed out on all of the sickness! She is a REALLY good baby. At two months she smiles, "talks" and sleeps for 8 hours at a stretch over night.

"I'm worried...

All clean...

Monday is Lucy's two month birthday, so we headed over to the pediatrician on Friday for a round of what seemed like five thousand shots. Mary and I were prepared for a night of fever and fussiness, but in true Lucy style she shook off the shots right away and slept through the night!
At our visit we found out Lucy was in the 75th percentile for head size and height, not too bad. She is however, huge... she measured OFF THE CHARTS for weight, she is 14 1/2 pounds already, too big to fit into any percentile group. HUGE!
Sleepy

Tomorrow is my two month birthday!

Talk to you soon,
Brad

Another Busy Week
It was another busy week here at the Lindberg house. We had a very Lindberg weekend... Uncle Scott and Aunt Kate visited Lucy and Henry for the first time. Scott brought with him a piece of art he made for Lucy's Nursery. Thanks Scott.
I realized today that Mary has not made the blog very often, so here is a great picture of Lucy and Mary the other morning.

Lucy, Mary and I visited Henry again a few days ago, it is hilarious to see the size difference between a newborn and a six week old baby... Lucy and Henry were almost the same size when they were born. Not anymore.

Here is the new artwork Scott created for Lucy

And Scott, Kate and Lucy in front of the mural painted earlier this year

Aside from family, we also visited with more friends this week, it is always fun to have a break from the norm.
Milyon and Andrea were nice enough to invite us to a "3rd of July" celebration at their house. Good times....

Jeff and Jane also came for a visit, we had awesome takeout from Thanh Do

Hopefully we will have some more visitors this week, and some time to relax. Lucy is sleeping about 4 - 5 hours at a time at night and has really started to smile at her mommy!
