To Iowa and Back

This weekend we made our second trip to Iowa with Lucy in as many weekends. Riding in the car seems to suit her, she slept the entire way to and from Iowa. Awesome. This past weekend, we went to Iowa for Lucy's Iowa baby shower and Grandma Patti's surprise 60th birthday party.

Before leaving for Iowa, Uncle Matthew, Aunt Kem and Cousin Luke came for a visit. We forgot to take a picture, but it was fun to have them here.

In other news, Lucy also decided to become a ravenous beast and eat everything in sight. She is getting huge. Also, Mary loves Lucy's I love Mum shirt, she wears it all the time...

When Mary and I first found out Lucy was on the way, we feared that our Pug Mini (we didn't name her... I promise) would want nothing to do with her. Fortunately Mini and Lucy are becoming fast friends!

Visitors... and Fathers Day

Lucy's one month birthday was also Brad's first Fathers Day. Mom bought her a daddy's little Monkey T-Shirt to wear for the occasion. Brad wore a stupid smile and 15 extra pounds.

First, a growth chart.

Awesome Nursery

So Lucy's Uncle Scott is a really great artist. He agreed to travel all the way up to Minnesota from Illinois TWICE to paint a mural on the wall of her nursery.

He was worried because he had not painted anything in over 12 years.

We think he didn't have anything to worry about!

Thanks Scott!

It's Lucy June

Hey, here is Lucy June! Mary and I are really bad at taking photos, sharing them, or even writing anything about Lucy June. This is our attempt to be better. So, meet Lucy June Lindberg.... She was born May 21, 2009, 8 pounds 8 ounces, 22 inches long. Yesterday she turned one month old. I can't believe how much she has grown in the last month, and how much she has changed. Here are some highlights, Lucy:

Poops
Sleeps
Cries
Eats
Repeat

Oh, and she can already hold her head up, roll over from her front to the back and give big kisses
(but only when she is hungry)... all in a month. Hopefully we will post much more than once a month going forward.

Until then...
